New in October and November!

More of the yarns and items we carefully selected at TNNA in June have continued to arrive over the past month.....
One of our most anticipated yarns is from Swans Island Yarns.  Swans Island originally started out making hand woven and dyed blankets in Maine.  A few years ago they began producing beautiful yarns.  All the yarns are spun in a certified organic mill and dyed in a 1790's farmhouse on the coast of Maine using only 100% natural dyes.  Read more about their story here.

We received several timeless patterns designed by Michele Orne, with several more on their way: a classic baby blanket, two cardigans and a cowl.

It's a special day when a box from Art Yarns arrives!  This one is loaded with sparkles and beads!
And, if you're taking a class with Iris Schreier, Art Yarns creator, at the Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival this coming February, we have several of the yarns required for the classes.

Beaded Mohair Splash, Silk Rhapsody Light and Beaded Silk and Sequins:

Need a special gift?  How about a little bit (or a lot) of glitz?

Mmmm....pretty beads....

By now you all must know how much we adore the yarn bowls our friend Mel creates in her studio in Erie.  She's the sweetest gal ever.  Her bowls keep getting better and better (probably because we give her so much practice!).  You can see her whole line here.   If you ever have a special request, we'd be glad to order it for you.
Mel is also making gorgeous mugs.  We have more on order.   They'll be here before the holidays!  I'm sure you need one to coordinate with your bowl.  I know I do!
Something new from Rowan is Kidsilk Creation, made from Kidsilk Haze.  There's a youtube video on how to knit Kidsilk Creation.  This scarf can be made in an hour - a perfect gift!

Kidsilk Creation comes in all of the most popular colors of Kidsilk Haze:

Another newbie from Rowan is Kidsilk Stripe.  One ball = two balls of Kidsilk Haze and as you might guess, stripes in artsy, random stripes designed by Kaffe Fassett.
A free scarf pattern is printed on the inside of the ball band.

I'm kicking my scarf up a notch by holding Kidsilk Stripe with Road to China Light for a super luxurious scarf:

Madelinetosh Vintage, a worsted wt. superwash wool, arrived several weeks ago in all these lovely colors:

These beauties are Madtosh Merino Light, a fingering wt. yarn that's perfect for shawls or perhaps one of the pretty cardigans from Hannah Fettig/Knitbot.  How about Wispy, Featherweight or Breezy??

And, for any project when you just need something special and yummy, try Madtosh Pashmina (merino, silk and cashmere).  It's perfect for Goodale, the pretty Wildflower Cardigan from Coastal Knits or a simple cowl to caress your neck.

These lovely colors of Malabrigo Rios arrived a few weeks ago:
....and some solid shades in super bulky Malabrigo Rasta:

I whipped up this Marian Cowl with one of the variegated Rasta colorways:

Kauni is a Shetland-type yarn made in Denmark.  Long and gradual stripes make it a fun knitting process.
The pattern for the Oakland Shawl is available at Bloomin Yarns.  Thanks to Amy for lending us her shawl for a while!
The Brady Shawl almost looks like a work of art!  Fun!

Just in from Zitron: new colors of Filisilk.  Here's a free pattern that's perfect for Filisilk.

And, new colors of Simplicity, a striping, superwash merino that's perfect for kids' knits.

Simpliworsted is the new big sister to Simplicity.  It's worsted wt. and comes in solids.  Here's a collection of free patterns using Simpliworsted.

Whoa, look at these new Zauberballs!   I'm thinking of making this shawl....perfect for showing off these great yarns:

Wunderkleckse is a fun tye-dye sock yarn sure to please your feet....or your neck.  I think it would be awesome in a Daybreak!
Pur by Schoppel is a chunky single-ply slightly felted merino wool.
I'm making Ysolda's Icing Swirl Hat in Pur.

These adorable project bags are from Chic-A.

These cuties keep those balls of yarn under control:

How about some understated glitz?  Silverstar delivers!  Here's a free cowl pattern using Silverstar.

See you soon:)
